We are excited to host the eighth annual Girl Powered Robotics Workshop for girls in grades 6 through 12 on August 2-3, 2025 at the India Community Center. This two-day workshop is a collaboration with the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF) and Google.

During the workshop, teams of students will have the opportunity to design and build a robot (on the first day) and program and compete (on the second day) with other teams in game-based engineering challenges, like High Stakes (new game will be announced on May 9, 2025). Participants will hear from students who have attended the workshop in the past and now have several years of competitive robotics experience as well as STEM industry professionals. Students will also interact with 100+ volunteers from the very accomplished NorCal robotics community who will guide them during building, programming, and competing.

This event is for female-identifying students with no prior robotics or programming experience. It’s a great way to learn about robotics in a safe and inclusive environment. There will also be booths from various robotics related companies that the students will be able to visit.

We are so excited to host this workshop and we hope you are excited to attend! If you have any questions, check our FAQ. If you still have questions, email us at norcalgirlpowered@gmail.com.
